Did I mention how many great, inspired, fun cooks we have here? And the incredible variety of dishes people make and bring to Boat Club as well as our other gatherings here? I guess I say this every month, but honestly, we do have some phenomenal cooks. And Boat Club this month was no exception.
As usual the dishes brought ran the gamut, from appetizers to dessert. Which is always a good thing.
Sui Mai, steaming away in a wok, getting ready for their place on the table.
I'd never heard of these before, never mind tasting them, but wow, and I'll let you have a closer look a little later.
Hummus, always a great starter and healthy to boot. I do like Hummus, it is good food.
Chicken Spaghetti, again a dish I'd never had before, but served with some of the garlic bread, very tasty. I liked this as well.
Nothing can beat a grilled sausage, and these are so good. I can just see one of them tucked into a piece of white bread, slathered with mustard and onions and ...
Sorry got sidetracked again.
They were accompanied by another of the dishes I've grown to love here in the south, Peas and Snaps.
An apple and raisin salad, a different twist and so good. I need this recipe, even if I only make it for myself.
Tabbouleh, and look at all the good stuff in there. There's olives and feta and chopped tomatoes, and all kinds of good stuff. Very tasty.
And some more nibbles, chicken salad and a quinoa salad.
Good thing I was hungry last night.
I brought a family favorite,
Enchilada Casserole.
Good food, good friends, what could be better together.
