Boat Club for November

Another month, another Boat Club gathering.   Well, last month did get cancelled but that's OK, we attended this month, as did a lot of other people.   And as usual, lots and lots of good food.    I made Beans and Weenies, from a new recipe, and quite frankly I didn't care for it, and I will share the recipe here later on this week.
However, as I said before, a lot of good food was brought, and we all got a great visit in, and all in all, it was everything a Boat Club gathering should be.

We had appetizers, salads, main dishes, side dishes, fruit, desserts and even some bread with home made butter, courtesy of moi.
A black olive dip and I don't remember the name of it, but when I find out, I'll update this post.   Really different, Karen comes up with some fun stuff.    And I'm getting the recipe, and I'll share it here.

Lentil Salad, and it was really good, different.   Kinda reminded me of a tabouli, but not.   And look at the gorgeous bowl.

Next up, Ham, done by Quinn and as usual, so very good.

Continuing on down the line...   A chili cheese dip and that was so good.   One of those things you just gotta have more of.  What's the word?  Morish...
Leon made some interesting chicken, by the time I got a piece, all that was left were the thighs.    It was very tasty, and the sauce was so good.

And who doesn't like Cheese?  What a pretty platter, and did you see the blue cheese on there, gotta be one of my favourites.  sigh...

I told you there was fruit, we tease Kathleen that she always brings fruit and toothpicks, but I notice we eat it all, every single time.

I don't know who brought the Pasta Salad, but I'm such a sucker for pasta, in any form, hot, cold, straight out of the fridge.  Oh, was that too much information?   It was still very good, and in such a pretty bowl as well.

Hot and Sweet Chili, served over Pasta shells and topped with cheese, what a cool idea.   I did avail myself of some, well, it was PASTA!!! and chili, what's not to like?

John made his beans again, and they are so good, I love it when he brings them, always so good.

I made some No Knead bread and added some of my Home Made Butter to go with it.

And I also made a couple of variations of Beans and Weiners...

This version had corn in it, and I think it was OK, but the addition of the corn was weird.  And I can say that cause I made it.
Regular old Beans and Weenies, and this one was good.

Jill made this awesome Pasta Bake, and I noticed it was very popular.   In other words, there wasn't much left in the dish when they had to go.   And you know I had to have some, after all, Pasta is good food.

and then there was this awesome fruit dish, pineapples and kiwi,
Now for the desserts....
One of the best Lemon Meringue pies I've ever had.  Nancy can bake.
and then there was this blue berry pudding, which I did not get a taste of, sigh, I was just too full, but it looked pretty.

And last but not least, a Turtle Pie
All in all a very successful Boat Club, food-wise that is, and the company was great too.
