Boat Club for January

First Boat Club Potluck of 2017 and it was well attended.  Some of our winter residents are back for a few months, which meant we had lots of lively conversations.
And of course lots of great food.
Let me tell you all about it.
But first here's what my plate looked like.   I usually wait until the end before I share, but I wanted to mix it up a little.
And in no particular order, the cast of characters, the whole shebang...
Soup and it was so good. We're having a bit of a cold snap here and a bowl of hot vegetable soup was so welcome.
there was also some Roasted Vegetables. Which reminds me, I think I need to make me a big panful of veggies, I was polite and only took a little.
There were some Shrimp and Crab Quiche's, I'll be sharing the recipe next week for Fish Friday Foodies.   These were quite tasty, even if I say so myself.
And another lovely hot dish, some spicy Chili.  So good.
And who doesn't love Meatballs, hmmm?   These disappeared, fast.
And luckily for me, there was Pasta, in the form of some fresh tasting Tortellini.  Did I mention I now have a pasta roller and I think I need to go and try my hand at making not only Tortellini, but maybe some Ravioli as well.
And then there was Ham.   Lots and lots of ham.  Quinn has a magical touch with ham.
There were some baked Chicken Tacos on offer as well.   What a fun idea, baking and bringing taco's.
which were served with some Guacamole (in the covered dish) and some lettuce
And since Santa didn't get all the way into the picture, here he is again.  It's just not a potluck without his presence, and he always brings Pineapple with him as well.
Last, but not least, there was a Sweet Potato dish, which was beautifully seasoned.  And it got along well with the ham.
There were desserts as well.  This Cheesy Apple Bake.  And I got the recipe for it.  Cause I'm so going to make this sometime. Perfect potluck dish.
There were Brownies on the dessert table as well.  (I took the picture before. Don't tell anyone but I'm the one who cut the corner piece out.  I love those edges).
There was also a Chocolate Fluff pie, which I'm told was good, I didn't get a taste of it though. sigh
And a Cheese Danish.  I love those things.

Stay tuned.  On Friday I'll be posting about some of the new toys I got before Christmas and I'll be doing a giveaway on some of them.   Thanks go to Brix Design for sending me toys.  giggle
