Can you believe it's March already?
And it's also time for First Monday Favorites.
February just blew right by me, I feel as if it was a very short month.
I really didn't make a lot of new and fun dishes this past month. I did the tried and true, the same old, same old, but I did post a couple new recipes, and two were for a blogger challenge.
Some months just work that way.
I've also been going great guns on a cookbook, and that has taken up the majority of my time. And interest, and creativity.
And as usual, I'm conflicted as to which recipe to feature, I tend to like almost all of the food I make.
It came up to a coin toss between two comfort meals. Surprise!, they were both Danish. I made some Pandekager (Pancakes) for Pancake Tuesdays, but when I tossed the coin, the soup won.
Klassisk Klar Suppe med Melboller og Grøntsager (Clear Soup with Dumplings and Vegetables)
I made this thanks to a challenge from the Soup Saturday Swappers group, the challenge was International Soups.
I do love this soup, and I made enough to not only eat it for several meals, but also shared it with a friend.
This is for all those former Secret Recipe Club bloggers, who miss the 'reveal' every Monday morning as each group revealed which recipe they picked, blogged and shared from their assigned blogs.
We're not going to assign anyone anything. I just want to know one thing.
What recipe you made last month that surprised, delighted and basically blew you away with how good it was.
You can do a whole new post, put a link into the post of the recipe you did make, or link up here. All I ask is that the recipe, be one that is new to you, that you made this past month (February, 2017) that you think should be shared with everyone. Not the one recipe that got the most views, not your favorite of all time, but the new recipe you made and blogged about.
However, it's not limited just to former SRC bloggers, other food bloggers are welcome to link their favorite recipe from last month here as well.

Thanks Sid.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking and your dish looks amazing. Love Chicken and Dumplings and making it Mexican, even better.
DeleteThanks for hosting this again Sid!
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating, and I love those little chocolate bites of goodness.
DeleteThat soup looks so hearty and healthy with all those veggies!
ReplyDeleteThanks and thank you for stopping by to link up your ravioli, that looks wonderful.
DeleteYum! Love those dumplings! Something I need to play around with!
ReplyDeleteThanks, me too, every time I make them, I wonder why it's taken me so long in between times. sigh. Love your muffuletta salad, and it's going on my list of dishes to make. I think it would be fantastic at one of our many potlucks.
DeleteThanks for another look at your delicious soup. What the heck happened to February?!!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I enjoyed that soup so much, that I had to feature it as my personal favorite. And February? I know, right? I think I have whiplash from it going by so fast. sigh
DeleteGreat "problem" to have... which recipe to feature! ;-) I know what you mean, by enjoying everything you make - that's great!
ReplyDeleteIf I don't like, I'm not going to cook it. I've been revisiting a lot of Danish Recipes lately, since I started writing a cookbook featuring my take on Hygge.
DeleteHow do I join in the fun!?
