February Tapas - 2018

One of the best parts of hosting Tapas Nights here is not only do I get to play with food, I also get to see what everyone else makes.
And sometimes I even get to taste it.
The camera operator, moi, was having some issues last night and a few pictures were too blurry to even see what they were, as well as some that were blurry but almost usable.
But I got to visit with almost everyone and I think a good time was had by all.
Here's a round up of the pictures that were usable.
Gougere's, which are a choux paste with cheese inside.  These are on my list of dishes to master.
Wings, hot and spicy and oh so good.
Brussels Sprouts, and by the time I got around to trying some, they were gone.
Pasta and Chicken Curry, gotta repeat that. Pasta and Curry- together.  Hit two spots for me, I love my pasta and my curry.
This shot of the mushrooms is courtesy of Donna, cause the two shots I got were too blurry to use.  I'm so glad she took a picture before she brought them.  The Stuffed Mushrooms were so good, I managed to taste the last one, cause they disappeared fast.

These mini stuffed peppers were very tasty and looked so pretty as well.
Such a pretty presentation. Love this stuff.
I did say I love pasta, and giggle, this was only one of the three pasta dishes.  My only problem with pasta salad is eating it all at one time.
This was number 3 of the three pasta dishes.  And it was just as tasty as the other two.
I can't forget to mention the Squash Soup, some of which is in my fridge right now, but I totally spaced taking it's picture. However I'm going to be enjoying some of it this week as I'm writing my cookbook, it's a lovely sippable soup.
And as for me, I made a few dishes as well.
This Savory Salmon Cheesecake disappeared fast.
I've been playing with making my own Potato Chips, in the oven and I think I almost have the technique down.

I also made a plate of Deviled Eggs, cause I wanted to and I like Deviled Eggs.
I've also been playing with recipes for my next cookbook and for whatever reason, I'm stuck on Pinwheel sandwiches, and these Egg Salad Sandwiches are bite-size good.  I also spread some egg salad on some home made bread.  The flower is from my Rosemary plant which is trying to take over the world starting with my front walkway.

And can't forget the other bread I made.  I made some No-Knead bread and donated two loaves to the Library Soup and Bread Fundraiser and kept one loaf back so I could serve it at Tapas.

As I said, there were

Now for the desserts:
We had them. Blueberry cobbler which was served with whipped cream
 Pineapple and Papaya this time
I didn't get a chance to taste this but was told it was yummy.
Cookies, on a cool lobster platter
Carrot Cake and a belated Happy Birthday to John.
 More sweet treats.
I also managed to screw up the picture of the Sweet Potato Pie, but it was sure good tasting.
There was also a plate of brownies but again the photographer managed to not only get two blurry pictures, she also managed to get them overexposed.
She's fired.
At least for this month.
Have a great day.
