First Monday Favorites August 2018- 21

It's time for First Monday Favorites again and last month I only blogged a handful of times, really, a handful.
First Monday Favorites
Just 5 times.  sigh
I was busy though, July was a crazy busy month for me.
Not only did I finally finish and publish my newest cookbook, Nibbles and Bites, which is available as either a paperback or an ebook.
I also did a couple of presentations on Danish Food at local libraries and made cookies from my other Cook book, Hygge-Danish Food and Recipes  And I had fun doing, BTW, I'm available to talk to other groups or gatherings as well.  Just sayin...
And...
I participated in the local Crab Cake Cook Off, which I had won the past two years, but I wasn't a winner this year.  But that's OK, it was also a fundraiser for our local lighthouse.  I'll be sharing the recipe I used later on this month.  I'm also currently writing a short cookbook or booklet if you like, featuring my favorite Shrimp recipes.  No release date on that one just yet. (the winning crab cake recipes from the past two years are in my cookbook, Nibbles and Bites.)

Well, now that we got that out of the way, I have to tell you about the soup that I made for Soup Saturday Swappers.  #soupsaturdayswappers  In fact, I'm making it again in the next couple of days.  This past month's theme was Crockpot soups and I found a recipe for Tomato Soup in one of my Mom's recipe books. Tomato Soup in the Crock Pot.
Tomato Soup
Super, super simple and WOW, the flavor was so good.   I cannot tell you how good it was and so simple to make.  So that's my First Monday Favorite for this month.

You can check out some more favorite recipes in the link below.

Sid loves to cook, feed people and have fun in the kitchen. She shares her successes and the involuntary offerings she sometimes gives the kitchen goddess as well. And she's still looking for the mythical fairy to help her clean the kitchen after a marathon cooking session. Currently working on a cookbook showcasing the recipes from her Danish heritage.
